Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Privacy is a core part of how this platform is built. You never need an account to vote or comment.
What we do not collect
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers or demographic information as a condition of voting.
- Voter registration numbers or social media accounts.
- Third-party advertising trackers or invasive browser fingerprints.
Cookies and security processing
We set one essential, first-party cookie containing a random identifier. It is secure, HttpOnly and SameSite. It lets us discourage repeat voting and repeat likes. We store only one-way scrambled versions of it.
For rate limiting we also keep a scrambled version of your network address that changes every day. It cannot be reversed into your address.
Votes and comments are kept apart
Ballots contain no identifying data. Comments are stored separately and use a different scrambled value, so a commenter's display name can never be connected to a vote.
Retention
Participation records are kept only for the life of a poll. Security event logs contain no personal data and are kept for up to 90 days.
